Reynolds turns to their PR3 or Performance Rim 3 technology. It is a precise method of assigning different carbon fiber and lay-ups to five different regions of the rim. The type of fiber, epoxy and resin will be used according to what will be required of each part of the rim to achieve the ideal tensile strength, stiffness and protraction of each wheel. Since there is no need for a brake track, Reynolds does not need to use their proprietary resins that make their braking tracks so special. But they do still use their expertise when laying-up the carbon since they have also made these wheels tubeless ready.
